What is a laser printer? Laser printing is a digital printing process that passes a laser beam back and forth over a drum, which collects the powdered ink (toner) and transfers it to the paper, which is then heated to permanently fuse the text.
Laser printing is by far the preferred method of printing due to a low cost per page, long-lasting toner cartridges and generally better built equipment.

What is an inkjet printer? Inkjet printing recreates a digital image by propelling droplets of ink onto paper.
Inkjet printers generally cost less upfront but have a higher on-going and price per sheet cost. Inkjet printers also fair better at printing high quality images but also have a much shorter lifespan and are very susceptible to breakdowns. Dried or clogged nozzles and room temperature effects tend to be some of the most common issues suffered by inkjet printers.
