Take your laptop in for a "tune-up". Nothing is worse than getting to school only to find out your computer runs slow, lags, makes weird noises or crashes when you use your note-taking system. Have one of our qualified technicians clean-up your machine to have it running in tip top shape for class.
Invest in a digital pen (especially if typing is not your forte). These little accessories can be super useful for jotting down notes, marking up documents or photos or signing student loan applications!
Set-up your note-taking system. You have many options such as Microsoft One Note or Word, AND if you have that digital pen, you can write things down by hand, convert them to type and search through them later using the search function... as opposed to flipping through hundreds of pages.
Customize your desktop. Make it your space with background pictures that work for you, easy access to all the applications you like to use and none of the clutter you don't.
Get free access to Office. Do you have an email that ends in .edu? Microsoft Office offers FREE Office 365 to students harbouring the said address.
Set-up cloud storage AND hard drive storage and then set-up an auto back-up system. Trust us! You will be so thankful you did should anything happen to your computer and it will save you much needed student dollars on data recovery!
Get a trusted anti-virus program with a high detection rate (hint: it's not one of the free ones and it's definitely not multiple anti-virus programs). Save yourself the cost of virus removal.
