We've been looking at new web design trends for 2022 and interactivity is top of the list. This is not surprising: the goal for websites is typically to keep users engaged for longer, throughout your entire site (not just your landing page). Whether it be getting your user to input their location so you can customize their experience, to providing feedback or selecting light or dark mode, your goal is to keep your potential client interested and direct them to your call to action.
Some of our favourite ways to increase the interactivity on your site include:
contests
polls
surveys
light or dark mode
quizzes
calculators
location selection
demographic assessment
The key is not to overdo it (i.e. don't disturb your user's experience, enhance it) and make the interactivity purposeful. For example, if you run demographic assessments, perhaps you can direct your client to an online store that features items tailored to their age group and geographic location.
