The Advantages of Supporting Small Businesses (Like Us, For Example)

We've put together a list of the top 5 reasons to support small businesses in your community, like a computer store let's say...

1. Support

We have had the privilege to serve you since 1984 and are proud to say we are still here in the face of the big box store and online shopping era! What gives us that staying power? What sets us apart from those big box stores? In a word: support. We go above and beyond to support you in ways those others big retailers can't. Concept is a full service computer store. We will work with you, discuss your needs and your budget and find the right machine for you. After that, we will set-up your computer with all the proper configurations, get rid of all the junk-ware that hampers your computer's performance, install the most up-to-date updates and patches and then customize it however you like. We're not done. Our knowledgeable staff will walk you through your new system from start-up to shut-down. We can even deliver it and set it up on-site!

2. Money

Who doesn't want to save money? There are long-term cost benefits of shopping with us versus the big box stores: We see it time and again. Customers come to us after finding a great deal only to realize they got less than they bargained for. Their computer wasn't the right one for them, it didn't perform as well as they thought it would, was bogged down by junk programs that came pre-loaded with the software or setting it up was much more involved than they thought, they lost data trying to transfer it, can't figure out where programs and email went. The list goes on...

In the long run these customers end up spending more fixing the problems that came with the computer or upgrading to what they actually needed than they would have had they started with a full-service computer store. Enter Concept Computers!

3. Inclusive Service

We serve EVERYONE in our community, including those with mobility issues, members without transportation and individuals needing a little extra help setting their system up in their home. As a small business we recognize that not everyone can get down to a showroom, transport a system to and from a repair shop or navigate the intricacies of a detailed system set-up. That's why we offer mobile service options.

Because everyone should have the same opportunities!

4. Community Support

Did you know that in supporting small business you are actually supporting your community? In fact studies have shown that big business only feeds an average of 43% back into local economy, whereas local businesses return upwards of 60% into its community.

Not only is our team at Concept Computers family, we are a local family. We raised our family in North Vancouver and make every effort to support our community's entrepreneurs. We help where we can and make every effort to save or even eliminate costs wherever possible. In doing so we have been given the privilege of serving you, our community since 1984.

5. Human Support

Ever tried calling a big box store for customer support? How many numbers do you have to press to speak to a human being, if you get one at all? Now try that again with a small business.

At Concept, when you call for support you speak to a person right away. And the best part? It's probably the same person you spoke to the last time you called. Even better, we love to get to know our clients so we can personalize our service and support for you. Try getting that with the big guys!

As a small business we are proud to have been able to support our community using these basic principles. We look forward to serving you for many years to come!
