A great way to assess the growth of your website is by looking at organic traffic. These are site visitors who arrive at your site from unpaid sources, usually via a search engine as opposed to a paid advertisement or referral/link from another site. Google Analytics can filter your results so you can see just how much of your site visitors are organic. What you are looking for is a steady increase in traffic over time. If this is not what you are seeing, do a quick assessment:
Were any website changes implemented that correspond to the drop in traffic?
Are all your certificates (like SSL) up-to-date or have their been any crashes?
Has Google issued any penalties to your site?
What are the most recent changes to Google's algorithm?
Was there a change in your business' service?
These are quite often culprits for downturns in organic traffic. If none of these apply to you and your website, come speak to one of our web specialists.
