Microsoft has announced that they will be holding off on optional updates next month as they slow operations over the holidays and allow their staff some much-needed 2020 vacation time. Of course, if security patches are needed you may still see those, but don't expect much in anything that is not absolutely necessary.
Once the new year hits, updates will resume their regular schedule.
